Certificate in Autism Studies
Program Description:
This program is offered through Antioch University Santa Barbara's Continuing and Professional Education Department. AUSB is an approved program sponsor through the CA Commission on Teacher Credentialing and offers an approved Education Specialist Mild/Moderate Credential Program. Although this program does not lead to licensure or academic credits, it will enhance the knowledge and skills of undergraduate and graduate students as well as professionals employed in public school and clinical settings or the adult learner who wants to professionalize their support role.
Certificate in Autism Studies (120 hours)
This program will provide specialized training for people who work with individuals diagnosed as having Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Key Features:
- This program consists of 18 online courses which are taken in sequential order.
- Each Participant has 6 months to complete the program once they have enrolled.
- Participants must pass the course assessments with at least a 90% pass criteria.
- There is no partial credit given.
- Each course included in this level of certification is approved for CEs by a range of professional boards including BACB, APA, CA-BBS, ASHA, and ACSI which you may chose to claim at the end of each individual course.
- University credit for continuing and professional education will only be awarded upon completion of the entire program.
